D.E. Pool Filters

This collection holds 21 D.E. filters from Pentair (13) and Hayward (8), built for inground (17) and commercial (4) installations. You'll find vertical grid D.E. filters, Pentair's cartridge-style FullFloXF, the modular System:3 PLD line, and Hayward's pleated element DEP500 series, with filtration area ranging from 36 sq ft up to 120 sq ft across the sampled models.

Sizing starts with filtration area matched to your pool volume and turnover needs — Pentair's FullFloXF Q120, for example, is rated up to 86,400 gallons on an 8-hour turnover, up to 108,000 gallons on a 10-hour turnover, and up to 129,600 gallons on a 12-hour turnover. After that, check tank material and installed footprint: thermoplastic and fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene tanks differ in weight and side/vertical clearance required, which matters in a tight equipment pad. Warranty terms also vary by model, so confirm the coverage listed for the specific filter before deciding.

Hayward's ProGrid line (36, 48, 60, and 72 sq ft) uses a thermoplastic tank with an injection-molded polymer valve and a 2-year warranty, while the DEP500 pleated element filter uses the same tank material but carries a 1-year warranty. Pentair's FNS Plus filters (36, 48, and 60 sq ft) use a fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene tank, are ANSI Standard 50 certified, and carry a 2-year warranty. The FullFloXF Q120 is Pentair's high-flow cartridge-style D.E. option at 180 GPM max flow and 12 lb of D.E. required, and the System:3 PLD 72 sq ft uses a two-piece Dura-Glas composite tank with tool-free Posi-Lok clamps for service access.
