The Pentair Triton® II 24" Side Mount Sand Filter (TR60) is the compact residential entry in the Triton II lineup — the original and still the industry standard in fiberglass sand filtration. Pentair's unique manufacturing process creates a one-piece fiberglass-reinforced tank with UV-resistant surface finish for years of unequalled strength and durability.
Features include a swing-away diffuser for instant sand access, fully threaded internal parts, internal air bleed, and combination sand/water drain for fast winterization. Requires 250 lb of sand and 75 lb of pea gravel (not included). ANSI Standard 50 certified. Backed by a 2-year warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the TR60 (24") compare to the TR100 (30")?
Both are Pentair Triton II side mount fiberglass sand filters with identical features and 2-year warranties. The TR60 is the smaller 24-inch model with 3.14 sq ft of filtration area and requires 250 lb of sand + 75 lb of pea gravel — suitable for smaller pools. The TR100 is the 30-inch model with 4.91 sq ft and requires 450 lb of sand + 150 lb of pea gravel. Choose the TR60 for smaller pools where the TR100 would be oversized.
Is a multiport valve included?
No. The TR60 is the filter tank only. A compatible side-mount multiport valve must be purchased separately. Pentair offers compatible valves for the Triton II series.
Is filter sand included?
No. The TR60 requires 250 lb of #20 silica sand and 75 lb of pea gravel, neither of which are included. Pea gravel goes in first as the bottom support layer, followed by the filter sand.
