The Pentair Triton® C 30" High Capacity Fiberglass Side Mount Sand Filter (TR100C) is the original and still the industry standard in commercial sand filtration. The patented Glas®Lok process creates a one-piece fiberglass-reinforced tank with UV-resistant surface finish for unequalled strength and durability — fiberglass locked in to prevent fiber "blooming" under harsh conditions.
The Triton C series features a multi-diffuser system that increases filtration and flow rates for commercial applications up to 20 GPM per sq ft. The TR100C uses standard 3-inch flange connections, an 8-inch opening for easy sand bed access, full 2-inch drain, and 50 PSI maximum operating pressure. ANSI Standard 50 certified. Backed by a 2-year warranty.

What is the Glas®Lok process?
Glas®Lok is Pentair's patented manufacturing process for the Triton tank. It creates a one-piece fiberglass-reinforced tank where the fiberglass is permanently locked into the resin matrix — preventing fibers from "blooming" or protruding through the surface under UV exposure, chemical contact, or pressure cycling. The result is a tank that maintains its structural integrity and surface finish over decades of commercial use.
Is filter sand included?
No. The TR100C requires 450 lb of #20 silica sand and 150 lb of pea gravel, neither of which are included. These must be sourced locally. The pea gravel goes in first as the bottom layer, followed by the filter sand. Follow the installation guide for the correct layering sequence.
Is a multiport valve included?
No. The TR100C is the filter tank only. A compatible Pentair or third-party 3-inch flange multiport valve must be purchased and installed separately. Your pool professional can advise on the appropriate valve for this tank.
How often does the sand need to be replaced?
Filter sand typically lasts 5–7 years in commercial applications before it becomes too worn to filter effectively. The 8-inch access opening on the Triton C makes sand changes more manageable than tanks with smaller openings.
