What is the difference between the Posi-Clear RP and the Clean & Clear RP?
Both are Pentair side-entry port cartridge filters using the same platform and performance specs — 150 GPM, 150 sq ft, 20-micron filtration, 76-inch vertical clearance. The Posi-Clear RP is the Sta-Rite branded version in black; the Clean & Clear RP (160353) is the Pentair branded version in beige with a diamond-seal closure. Both are manufactured by Pentair. Choose based on brand preference, color, or which is the direct replacement for your existing filter.
How often does the cartridge need cleaning?
Clean when the pressure gauge reads 8–10 PSI above the clean starting pressure. Use the no-tool lock ring to open the filter, remove the cartridge, and rinse with a garden hose.
