How does the C4030 (425 sq ft) differ from the C3030 (325 sq ft)?
Both are SwimClear single-cartridge filters in the same 18-inch tank. The C4030 has 100 sq ft more filtration area and a higher 150 GPM flow rating vs. 122 GPM for the C3030. The C4030 is also taller (ships at 41.8 in vs. 35.7 in). Choose the C4030 for larger pools, higher-flow systems, or when maximum filter area and longer cleaning intervals are preferred.
Does the SwimClear use one cartridge or multiple?
The SwimClear C4030 uses a single large cartridge element — unlike some competing filters that use four separate cartridges. Single-cartridge cleaning means one element to remove, rinse, and reinstall rather than handling four.
How often does the cartridge need cleaning?
Clean when the pressure gauge reads 8–10 PSI above the clean starting pressure. With 425 sq ft of area, the C4030 holds more dirt than smaller filters, extending cleaning intervals. Remove the cartridge and rinse thoroughly with a garden hose.
