When should I choose the Standard CO2 System (AC004) vs. the High Output system (AC005)?
The AC004 Standard System is designed for pools, spas, and water features with light to moderate pH reduction demand — typically smaller commercial pools, spas, or features where pH drift is gradual. The AC005 High Output System is for larger commercial pools with greater or faster pH control demand. If you're unsure, your pool professional can advise based on your pool volume and bather load.
Does this work with any pH controller?
Yes. The solenoid valve accepts a control signal from any compatible pH controller — Hayward CAT series, HCC series, Pentair IntelliChem, and other brands that support CO2 feed equipment.
Why is a check valve injector important?
The PVC check valve injector prevents pool water from back-siphoning into the CO2 tubing when the system is not dosing — protecting the CO2 equipment from moisture and chemical contamination and ensuring reliable operation.
