Hayward SharkVac™ XL Robotic Pool Cleaner (Expert Line)
The Hayward SharkVac™ XL Robotic Pool Cleaner (Expert Line) delivers a complete clean by scouring the floor, walls, coves, and waterline in just three hours. It features high-quality components and advanced technology for maximum energy efficiency plus incredible ease of operation — no hoses, hookups, or extra pumps required.
Built by Hayward with smart steering technology, a Kevlar-reinforced 60-foot cord, two fine-porosity top-access filter cartridges, auto backup, out-of-water and beach-entry sensors, and energy-efficient operation — the SharkVac XL runs completely independently from your pool's filtration system, reducing backwash frequency to save time and money.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the beach-entry sensor do?
The beach-entry sensor detects when the cleaner starts climbing out of the pool — such as at a beach entry or zero-edge — and automatically reverses its direction to keep it in the pool and cleaning. This prevents the cleaner from getting stuck at the entry.
Why does having two filter cartridges matter?
Two filter cartridges double the debris-holding capacity compared to a single-filter design, which means longer cycles between cleaning and less maintenance. When you do clean them, you can rinse both separately with a garden hose without turning the cleaner over.
Does it clean coves?
Yes. The SharkVac XL cleans coves — the curved transition areas between the pool floor and walls — in addition to the floor, walls, and waterline. Coves are a common debris trap that many robotic cleaners skip.
Does it require a booster pump?
No. The SharkVac XL plugs into a standard 115V outlet and operates completely independently from your pool's pump and filtration system — no hoses, hookups, or extra pumps required.
What pool surfaces is it compatible with?
The SharkVac XL is designed for fiberglass, gunite, pebble, and tile pool surfaces.
