The Hayward Pro Series 30" Side Mount Sand Filter without Valve (S310S) is the tank-only version of the proven ProSeries side-mount sand filter — ideal for replacements where the existing VariFlo valve is being reused, or for new installations where the valve is specified separately. The ProSeries uses a precision-engineered umbrella-fold self-cleaning lateral system for efficient flow and totally balanced backwashing.
Built with a unitized corrosion-proof polymer tank, 360 slotted self-cleaning laterals, integral top diffuser, corrosion-proof base, flanged inspection/access cover, and integral molded drain plug. Rated for up to 50 PSI. Backed by a 1-year warranty.

What valve does the S310S require?
The S310S uses a Hayward VariFlo side-mount multiport valve — typically a 2-inch side-mount model. Compatible valves are available separately. If you're replacing a tank and reusing an existing valve, confirm the valve model is compatible with the S310S before ordering.
Is this the same tank as the S310T2 (top-mount with valve)?
No. The S310S is a side-mount filter (valve mounts on the side of the tank); the S310T2 is a top-mount filter (valve mounts on top). The two use different valves and have different plumbing connection layouts. Make sure you order the correct type for your installation.
