What is the difference between the Alpha iQ and Alpha iQ+?
Both share the same 4WD drive, Vortex vacuum, infrared obstacle sensor, XL canister, and iAquaLink app control. The Alpha iQ+ adds SMART Cycle technology that learns your pool over time and automatically optimizes cleaning duration. The Alpha iQ uses intelligent cycle calculation without the ongoing learning component of SMART Cycle.
What can I do with the iAquaLink app?
The iAquaLink app lets you control and monitor your cleaner from your smartphone — start and stop cycles, check cleaning status, and manage your cleaner remotely from anywhere with a Wi-Fi connection.
What does the full filter indicator do?
The full filter indicator alerts you when the XL canister has collected enough debris that it needs to be emptied — so you always know the cleaner is operating at peak suction without manually checking after every cycle.
Does it require a booster pump?
No. The Alpha iQ plugs into a standard 120V outlet and operates completely independently from your pool's pump and filtration system.
