How does this differ from the other IntelliChem controller-only model (521357)?
Both are IntelliChem controller-only units for use with external feed pumps. The 523478 is the commercial-designated version with a 1-year warranty; the 521357 also a controller-only model but carries a 2-year warranty and NSF certification. For installations where commercial designation is required by spec, use the 523478. For longer warranty coverage, the 521357 may be preferable.
What external feed pumps is it compatible with?
The IntelliChem commercial controller provides output signals to drive compatible chemical dosing pumps for both acid and sanitizer feeds. Pentair and third-party peristaltic or diaphragm dosing pumps are commonly specified for commercial chemical rooms. Confirm pump compatibility with your installing contractor.
Does it work as a standalone controller?
Yes. IntelliChem can operate independently without any Pentair automation system, making it suitable for commercial pools not running IntelliTouch or EasyTouch automation.
